A collection so that the books continue their journey

Une collecte pour que les livres continuent leur voyage

From the shelves of the libraries of Geneva to a Tunisian village, there is only one step. The “share reading” operation makes it possible to collect books for all French-speakers for the benefit of those who have less ability to read. Pickup is done at various companies.

Some came with full arms. “There is everything,” explains a Geneva woman with a chair full of books. But the ones I really love, I don’t give away. “

Read a book and share the story to end up on a library shelf.

Until April 24, Payot bookstores are organizing a large collection of solidarity books for individuals. “The structures must be in good condition, not too tired,” explains Christophe Jacquier Payot, manager of the left bank store. It must not be highly biased, sexual or bigoted. “

This year’s harvest is in favor of the Almadanya Foundation in Tunisia, which works to make books available in rural areas and give young people a taste for reading. 10% of the books are also distributed to the Hospice Général and to French-speaking hospitals.
