Greece, France, Germany … a quick overview of the requirements for traveling abroad

The strict ban on non-essential travel will end, as planned, on the evening of Sunday April 18, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo confirmed on Wednesday. There will therefore be no further increase in this measure which has angered the European Commission.
Although the ban has been lifted, that does not mean it is possible from Monday to exit unconditionally, the post-independence advisory committee said. The ban on non-essential travel “will be replaced by strict restrictions” for quarantine and quarantine rights, which apply to returning from areas deemed to be at risk (red zones).
How do European countries welcome tourists?
Greece
Greece intends to end the quarantine of vaccinated tourists from some countries from next week, the government announced on Thursday, seeking to revive the disaster-hit tourism industry.
The initiative is part of a “pilot” program that allows applicants to obtain vaccination passports before the official opening of the Greek tourist season scheduled for mid-May.
“This is a test case,” Aristotle’s government spokeswoman Peloni said in a statement.
“This project applies to visitors from European countries or other countries who have a vaccine certificate or PCR tests,” she added without providing further details.
In addition to the seven-day quarantine, travelers currently arriving in Greece must submit a negative test for coronavirus, within 72 hours.
According to local media, the scheme applies to travelers from EU member states and many countries that have vaccinated their citizens such as the UK and Serbia.
Aristotelia Peloni, however, made it clear that travelers would be forced to follow restrictive restrictions in Greece, such as travel restrictions between departments.
Spain
Travel is allowed, but you should be able to present a PCR test in less than three days, unless you arrived by car. However, travel is prohibited in most states.
Curfew: from 10 p.m. in most places.
Restaurants are open almost everywhere, although they vary by region. There are usually restrictions on the number of people allowed in the restaurant or cafeteria. In Madrid, bars are open until 11 p.m.
Portugal
Non-essential travel to Portugal is banned until at least April 18. Anyone flying directly to Portugal at an airport in Belgium should be able to show a bad PCR test.
Prerequisites: Restaurants and bars are allowed to serve the table, a maximum of four customers per table.
Activities: Museums and cultural centers are open. Cinemas and theaters are closed.
France
It is possible to travel to France, but it is not recommended. It is necessary to present the PCR test upon arrival. Travel is authorized up to 10 kilometers from their home, between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wearing a mask is a must.
Curfew: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Introduction: restaurants and cafes are closed.
Activities: Essential shops are open, including bookstores, bookstores and hairdressers. Cinemas, theaters and museums are closed until further notice.
