Football – Lausanne still travels just as badly

Football - Lausanne voyage toujours aussi mal

At Swissporarena, the visitor broke in the last seconds (0-1). The Vaudois did not do enough to get more.

On the occasion of their return to the top flight, Lausanne maintains a big gap for those who care to read the status in detail. When it develops on the basis of this, the Vaudois club slips into the role of serious competitor for Europe, as evidenced by its second place at home (27 points), certainly far behind YB (36), but that lets take the whole lead . road Basel (24), Servette (22) or St. Gallen (20), which is nothing. On the other hand, things get much worse when the newcomer from La Tuilière ventures out of his country. Before the start of this early evening, the result was a brilliant ninth place – only FC Sion were doing worse – which would leave LS fighting for maintenance if only away results are taken into account.

The trip to Lucerne only reinforced this dichotomy. For not doing enough, Lausanne was punished for being overly cautious. If he had the opportunity to get on the podium and find a European folding bench with a positive result in central Switzerland, the Vaudois club has still not taken charge of the interview with this charlatan who sanctions both hiking and its lack of ambition.

At Swissporarena, Giogrio Contini always spoke. As he indicated after the victory over Vaduz, the LS commander turned his squad around, leaving Jenz, Suzuki, Da Cunha and Guessand, all of whom had left three days earlier, on the bench for the kick-off. In order to bring a mental freshness, the visitor articulated himself in a modular 4-3-3.

On both sides, however, there must have been some difficulty in coming up with successful moves in an inconsistent if not slow first half, as it was full of imprecision. The few positives came from the speed of Mohou, whose services could not be exploited by Bolingi.

In a meeting that was also for two of the best goalkeepers in the country, Diaw and Müller each had their decisive intervention before the break. On a ball lost too quickly by Brazão, the LS goalkeeper rejected Sorgic’s cross-examination without Ndiaye being able to use the ball (8th). The opposite could divert Mahou’s attempt at his post for what would remain the only serious opportunity for the Vaudois (35th).

Diaw postpones the deadline

Diaw postpones the deadline

When Lucerne increased his pressure on his return from the locker room, we found Diaw, each time impeccably ahead of Ndiaye (50th, 52nd). On time, Contini decided to take out the disappointing Brazão, annoying when he abuses unnecessary style drills and dribbling, to launch Guessand in the hope of finding a solution in the Super League’s most porous defense (49 goals conceded).

But it was Diaw who, by continuing to multiply the bets, was able to keep the result for an LS which was waiting for the last quarter to put its nose against the window. An excellent serve from Bolingi even allowed Guessand to worry Muller with a header (76th).

Just as Lausanne were supposed to keep the point, a fantastic inspiration from Schürpf Tasar provided the winning ball. Moved deep, the former Servetti failed to take advantage of Lucerne No.11’s brilliant serve.

For Lucerne, this victory is invaluable, so he can walk away from the bar. Lausanne, on the other hand, can blame themselves for simply not having dared to play. Next match, Saturday, with the reception of FC Basel updated since the dismissal of Ciriaco Sforza.
