On the French market, Booking.com led the travel pages in February 2021 with 8.9 million visits, according to the monthly ranking based on data from the audience company Médiamétrie. Like other travel brands, the leader in hotel booking is seeing a drop in ratings compared to the pre-Covid period. In January 2020, it had almost 14 million visits.

In the February 2021 top 10, Oui.sncf is in second place, Airbnb in third place. The other brands in the ranking record less than 5 million visits.

In seventh place, Air France saw its audience divided by more than half and reached 2.369 million visits. It is the only airline in the top 10 created by Médiamétrie. Easyjet does not even appear in the top 20, as one might consult, where there are three train brands (Oui.sncf, Trainline and Ouigo). The low-cost carrier climbed to tenth place in January 2020.

The winners remain heavily disrupted by travel restrictions in France and internationally. For the record, total travel sales fell by 88% in February compared to February 2019 according to the Orchestra barometer of L’Echo tourisme. The ban on international travel, an irrefutable cause of many destinations and health insecurity, has hit the tourism industry.
